Good to Know

What microblading actually is

Microblading is a semi-permanent brow technique: a trained artist uses a fine hand tool to deposit pigment in hair-like strokes into the upper layers of skin, building a brow shape that looks like real brow hair. It is ideal for sparse brows, asymmetry, or anyone tired of drawing them on every morning. Results typically last one to three years, fading gradually — which is a feature, not a bug, since brow trends and your face change over time.

The process has two acts: the initial appointment (consultation, brow mapping, numbing, then the microblading itself — about two to three hours) and a perfection touch-up six to eight weeks later, after healing. Healing takes seven to fourteen days, during which the brows go through a famously awkward dark-then-flaky phase. A good artist prepares you for all of it before you ever lie back.

Choose Well

How to choose your brow artist

This is your face, for years. Be picky:

Healed results, not just fresh

Fresh microblading always looks bold and crisp — the truth is in the healed photos at six-plus weeks. Artists who proudly post healed work are showing you the real outcome. No healed photos? That is a red flag.

Brow mapping consultation

Your brows should be drawn, measured, and approved by you before any pigment touches skin. Mapping to your bone structure and facial symmetry — not a stencil — is what separates artists from technicians.

Pigment matched to you

The right pigment considers your skin tone, undertone, and natural brow color, and how each fades over time. Ask how they choose; the answer should be specific to you, not one-size-fits-all.

Clear touch-up and correction policy

The 6–8 week touch-up should be part of the plan and the pricing. Ask what is included, what a future annual refresh costs, and how they handle corrections if healing is uneven.

The Private-Suite Difference

Why a private suite changes the appointment

A microblading consultation is intimate — your face, measured and discussed in detail — and the procedure itself takes hours. In a MINT suite it will happen in total privacy: no audience, no salon-floor distractions while your artist maps your brows, no feeling self-conscious during the awkward healing-phase check-ins. Just you and your artist, focused on getting your brows exactly right.

Questions

Common questions about microblading at MINT

How long does microblading last?
Typically one to three years, fading gradually. Oily skin types tend to fade faster; annual color boosts keep brows fresh. Your artist will set expectations for your skin type at the consultation — anyone promising permanent results is overselling.
Does microblading hurt?
Most clients describe it as mild scratching or pressure — topical numbing is applied before and during, and most people are surprised how manageable it is. The consultation is the time to discuss any pain concerns honestly.
How much does microblading cost near Buckhead?
It is typically priced as a package: initial appointment plus the 6–8 week perfection touch-up. When brow artists open at MINT, they'll set their own rates and publish package pricing on their booking pages — join the waitlist and you'll be first to compare.
Who should not get microblading?
It is not for everyone: certain skin conditions, medications, and pregnancy/nursing can be contraindications. A responsible artist screens you at the consultation and will turn you away if it is not safe — that honesty is exactly what you want.
